Hi! My name is Raina and I am a second-year student from Ashburn, VA studying biology and minoring in business on the pre-med track. In the future, I hope to become an ophthalmologist and make a positive impact in our community. Here at UVA, I am involved in research with the May Lab, where I study renal cell carcinoma, and Virginia ke Aashiq, a competitive Bollywood fusion dance team. In my free time, I like to spend quality time with my friends and family, have movie nights, and try new restaurants! I wanted to become a peer teacher to provide the same support I received when taking Biol 2100 and to continue to advance my passion for biology. I wished to create a positive learning environment for students to help them understand and apply biology principles!
