Mal Vertman

My name is Mal Vertman, and I am a member of UVA's Class of 2028. I am a Biology major and a Health & Wellness minor with aspirations of working in healthcare or conducting biomedical research after graduation. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, going to the gym, and exploring Charlottesville with friends. I chose to become a Peer Teacher largely because of my incredible experience with Professor Manson, whose passion for Biology inspired me to deeply immerse myself in the course content. The kindness and enthusiasm of everyone in the Biology department has only strengthened my commitment to pursuing this field further.
