Hi! My name is Nyla Nokta and I am so excited to be a peer teacher for BIOL 2200! I am a pre-med rising third year, and I am studying Behavioral Neuroscience and Education. I plan to apply to medical school after graduation. At UVA, I am involved in the Arab Student Organization as Executive Director. I also conduct research in the cell biology department with the Ebrahim Lab at the UVA School of Medicine, and I work as a nursing assistant at UVA Encompass Health. I love traveling around the world, hanging out with my friends, and spending time with my family + cats! I decided to become a peer teacher because of my love for sharing enthusiasm about biology, and supporting students in understanding content in a meaningful and clear way.
