Rohan Kurup

Hi, my name is Rohan Kurup and I am a rising fourth-year majoring in Human Biology and minoring in Psychology on the pre-med track. On Grounds, I am president of UVA Club Tennis and volunteer locally at the Charlottesville Free Clinic. Outside of school, I love playing tennis, traveling, and trying new foods with friends and family.

I wanted to become a peer teacher because I really enjoyed my experience in the class and wanted the opportunity to help other students as they transitioned into upper-level biology courses. I know that those classes can feel overwhelming at first, so I enjoyed being able to answer questions and help students feel more confident in lab. Being a peer teacher has been a really rewarding experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the course and wants to support other students while developing their own communication and leadership skills.
