Hi! My name is Amelia, and I am a second-year student on the pre-med track from McLean, VA. I work as a scribe in the UVA Emergency Department and am a member of Phi Delta Epsilon medical fraternity. Outside of school, I enjoy hot yoga and running and am pursuing my yoga instructor certification. I especially enjoy traveling, with my most recent trip being to El Salvador where I climbed the largest volcano in the country. I wanted to become a peer teacher because I had such a great experience with my Intro Bio TA who was a source of support and continuous learning. I wanted to have a similar impact on students by being a source of encouragement and support as well.
