My name is Ava Franklin, and I am from Portland, Maine. I am a 2nd year majoring in Biology and minoring in Physics. After college I either plan on applying to med school or pursuing a career in research. I am involved with research through the Shim lab, a volunteer with Heartland Hospice, and a member of Delta Gamma. Outside of school I love to ski, hike, and travel! I wanted to become a peer teacher because BIOL2100 was one of the most interesting classes I’ve taken at UVA and my peer teacher was extremely helpful and supportive.
