Congratulations to Drs. Laura Galloway and Karen Barnard-Kubow for their most recent publication, “Variation in reproductive isolation across a species range” in the Ecology and Evolution journal. The study explores the earliest stages of speciation and finds multiple, independent genetic incompatibilities that lead to a mosaic of genetic divergence and reproductive isolation across a species range, indicating incipient speciation is a genetically and spatially complex process.
