Congratulations to Dr. Chhavi Sood, the 2023 recipient of the Dent award. The Dent award is given to the PhD student who published the most outstanding research paper in the field of Development Biology. In her paper, Chhavi reports a role for the evolutionarily conserved Notch cell-cell signaling pathway in regulating neural stem cell quiescence. Chhavi has two more papers in the pipeline, one that has been accepted for publication and she is currently at MIT carrying out her post-doctoral studies in Troy Littleton’s lab. Way to go Chhavi!
