“Extrinsic apoptosis and necroptosis in telencephalic development: a single-cell mass cytometry study”

Using single-cell mass cytometry in wild-type and knockout mice, this study reveals that simultaneous loss of RIPK3 and Caspase-8 increases telencephalic cell number—especially Tbr2⁺ progenitors and endothelial cells—demonstrating that both extrinsic apoptosis and necroptosis collaboratively regulate developmental cell death and brain cell composition.
