Hello Biology students,
GRIT (Graduate Recruitment Initiative Team) is organizing and hosting a 30-minute Diversity Dialogue session for this Biology recruitment (Feb 1-3). This session is a safe space for current students to answer questions from prospective students about anything related to UVA, Biology, and Charlottesville/Albemarle. Often prospective students use this opportunity to ask about topics related to safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion. All sessions will be hosted by one GRIT Council Member and will start with a ~5 minute presentation about GRIT and UVA DEI resources and initiatives. Following, the space will be open for prospective students to ask questions with the option of going into breakout rooms.
We are looking for current BIOLOGY students to participate in this session! We would like to display the diversity of the Bio community, which includes many different aspects including your research, year in program, and identity. All students in Bio are welcome to participate! This session will be on February 3rd from 12:05-12:35 on Zoom, so please sign up ASAP (sign up link is below)!
Thank you all for your help with the Diversity Dialogues, this part of recruitment is incredibly important to prospective students and we sincerely appreciate the current students who contribute to that! Please feel free to email GRIT at uvagrit@gmail.com if you have any questions about the Diversity Dialogues.
