My name is Kira Boyce and I am the current Treasurer of GSPA this year. I am writing to you all with some exciting news-- it is once again time for the annual Biology T-shirt competition! For those unfamiliar, members of the department submit UVA biology inspired designs, GSPA will select the top two submissions, and then YOU get to vote on which one you'd like to see on a T-shirt this year :) The funds we make from T-shirts goes towards funding your travel to conferences via our travel funds, so you get to show up to work looking fabulous and the money goes to a good cause!
I know many of you have already inquired about T-shirts this year, and I am thrilled to say we successfully sold every last T-shirt at graduation last year, which is why I am hoping to get our new order in as soon as possible, along with other swag (Beanies, Mugs, Stickers, etc). The winner of our competition will also get a free t-shirt with their design on it.
