Graduate Student Rachana Bhave (Cox Lab) has been awarded the Explorer's Club - Mamont Scholar Grant. This award supports students pursuing Graduate and Postgraduate research in field-based sciences. Rachana was awarded $5000 to carry out field work and genotyping to examine copulation rates and mating dynamics of brown anole lizards in Florida.

Appearing in Ecology and Evolution, their multi-seasonal study revealed that the freeze tolerance of flies following a cold hardening treatment increases as outdoor temperatures decrease.
