Shayna Hussain

My name is Shayna Hussain, and I am a second year, double majoring in Global Public Health and Art History. I hope to attend medical school after graduation. I became a Peer Teacher because I think it is a fun and interactive way to help students understand the fundamental concepts of biology. It is also rewarding to help students make connections from lecture to lab and to see them take genuine interest in the work they are doing. Some of my other involvements outside of Peer Teaching include being a co-service chair for American Medical Student Association, a scribe for the UVA ED, and a member of the dance group, Mahogany.
