Chris Letai

I am currently a 3rd year student at UVA and am pursuing a B.S. in Biology. After getting my undergraduate degree I hope to continue my education and earn a graduate degree in genetics, molecular biology, or pharmacology (I have obviously yet to commit strongly). Outside of peer teaching I work in a pharmacology lab in the hospital and also play on UVA's club Ultimate Frisbee team, the Night Train. The main reasons I became and have continued to be a peer teacher are the passions I have for both biology and teaching, so combining these two passions into one role seemed ideal for me. One of my favorite parts of peer teaching are the questions students ask, particularly those relating outside information, where they really put me on my feet and I have to do my best to explain how what we are learning can apply to the questions they ask.
