My name is Katherine Helmicki and I am a third year majoring in French and Biology on a pre-med track. In my free time, I enjoy painting, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends. I’m a huge animal lover and spend my breaks volunteering at the National Zoo and working at a local veterinary clinic. At UVA, I’m involved in undergraduate research and the Fralin Museum student docent program. I decided to become a peer teacher to foster a sense of community and collaboration among students pursuing career paths in science and medicine.
