Sakar Budhathoki

Hello! My name is Sakar and I am a fourth-year Neuroscience major, with a minor in Religious studies. As a neuroscience major, I spend a large chunk of my time working in a neuroscience research lab. When I was a student in this lab, I saw just how important and common the techniques we learned in class were. I found that learning these techniques in lab helped me understand exactly why I was doing them in my own research. Due to this, I really liked to talk to my fellow classmates about these parallels and that’s when I decided to become a peer teacher. As a peer teacher, I want to convey to everyone that what we do in the lab is exactly what occurs in all kinds of Biology related research! Outside of lab I enjoy eating new foods, going to all the coffee shops in the area, reading books, watching any and all kinds of movies and television shows, and taking naps that disrupt my circadian rhythm.
