Parichy Lab Receives New Grants From NIH

August 25, 2021

The lab of Professor David Parichy has been awarded two new grants from NIH. One of these awards (NIH R01 AR078320) will support investigations of cell-cell communication underlying the development of skin and scales in zebrafish led by postdoc Andy Aman. The second award (NIH R03 HD104574) will support the development of new resources for studying post-embryonic development, using single cell RNA-sequencing and molecular histology. These projects add to the lab's ongoing studies of pigment pattern development and evolution in zebrafish, other danios, and clownfish, as well as roles for neural crest derived stem cells in the development of adult neurons, glia, and pigment cells (supported by NIH R35 GM122471).
