Celebrating Employment Milestones

Celebrating Employment Milestones
August 30, 2022

The Biology Department is marking several major employment milestones.

Tess Matukonis will be celebrating her one-year anniversary as the Undergraduate Coordinator.  She has become the face of Biology for most of our majors and she is an extraordinary resource for our faculty advisors.

Sherrie Jones has been at the University for 25 years and in the Biology Department since 2014.  She is the Administrative Coordinator and point person in the office who keeps things running smoothly.  Sherrie is a problem solver who manages the day-to-day functioning of the department.

Kay Christopher has celebrated 30 years at the University.  She began her University career in Rob Grainger’s lab and then went to work at the School of Medicine for seven years before returning to the Biology Department in 2002.  As the Teaching Lab Coordinator and Preparator, she ensures our undergraduates have a safe and fruitful laboratory experience.

Thank you, Tess, Sherrie, and Kay for your dedication to the University and your commitment to the mission of the Biology Department!
