Abbas Ghaddar Receives Jefferson Fellowship

Abbas Ghaddar, a graduate student in the O'Rourke lab, has been awarded a Jefferson Fellowship for his research entitled, "Single-cell deconstruction of the genetic networks underlying diet-induced obesity". The Jefferson Fellows Program "was established by the Foundation to recognize graduate students on Grounds who have made exceptional contributions to the University of Virginia, and who exhibit the highest promise as scholars, teachers, public servants, and leaders in the United States and beyond". Among other things, Abbas receives $5000.00 of research funding and a support stipend renewable for two years. Congratulations, Abbas!
