VISIT THE BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Are you a high school or college transfer student, who is considering pursuing an undergraduate degree in biology at UVA? We’d be happy to welcome you and your parents to the Department of Biology for a visit -- so that you can imagine yourself here, taking classes or working in a research laboratory. Come meet a faculty member or current student, who can tell you about study and research opportunities in the areas of biology that interest you the most.

If you’d like to schedule a visit, please contact the Biology Department Administrative Assistant, Ms. Katherine Taylor.  She can be reached either by email or phone (434-982-5614). And, we recommend that you contact us at least 1 week prior to your planned visit, so that we’re able to identify faculty or students who will be available to meet with you.

For a broader introduction to undergraduate life at the University of Virginia, we also encourage you to consult the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for information about registering for an information session and campus tour. Please note that visits to the Biology Department are not part of and do not influence the admissions process.
