My name is Ameera Farooqi and I am a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Biology.  I am an aspiring doctor and some of my extracurriculars include volunteering at the hospital and coordinating blood drives for the UVA Red Cross Club.  On the weekends, I love watching horror movies and eating Indian food with friends.  I wanted to be a peer teacher to help encourage younger students to get excited about biology and, hopefully, help them acquire new knowledge and skills along the way.
