UVA Biology People Initha Setiady

Initha Setiady

My name is Initha Setiady, and I'm a Third Year from Charlottesville, VA. I'm majoring in Biology and Economics, and I hope to attend medical school after I graduate. Outside of classes, I'm involved in glioblastoma research in the Abounader lab, GlobeMed, and volunteering with Madison House. I wanted to become a peer teacher because I saw how helpful my peer teacher was in BIOL 2100 lab last year in explaining concepts and demonstrating lab techniques. I wanted to provide the same positive experience in lab and contribute to the Biology Department. Being a peer teacher has been incredibly rewarding and I hope to continue in the future!
