I am a fourth year English major, but I am also premed. I became a peer teacher because I love teaching and helping students understand, but I also enjoy the more collaborative environment in lab, as opposed to lecture. Students are sometimes stressed out about lab, so I really enjoy helping them appreciate the concepts but in a low-stakes environment. Lab was really fun for me and helped me to tie biological concepts to lecture, so I hope that students are encouraged to benefit from lab as well.
