My name is Stephen Hayes and I am a third year at UVA. I have declared a B.S. in Biology and am also preparing to apply to Med School. I haven't decided exactly where I want to go, but one day I would love to practice surgery. I'm also a member of the Virginia Men's Rowing team and have been enjoying that since my first year. I was a peer teacher for BIOL 2030 last year and I found that it was a rewarding experience. Helping students understand the big picture concepts of a class that I had already taken was exciting, and my goal as a peer teacher was to clear up any confusion the students have with the labs. Although the lab has been restructured from last year, I have been bringing the same attitude into this year’s lab, and I hope that I am a helpful resource for my students.
