Third year Biology major Melanie Piller (shown on the left in the photo) is a recipient of an Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation Scholarship. The grant provides Melanie with $21,000 in stipend and travel for two summers and one academic year. Melanie's mentor, Sarah Kucenas, is also provided with an additional $5,000 to be used in direct support of Melanie's research efforts.
